June 27 – Our Final Day In Kathmandu is a Rest Day

We will leave for the airport to fly to Chengdu tomorrow morning at 8am.  We decided to make this day a rest, writing, and spa day.  After a long breakfast, when we also did some writing, I went to work out in the gym, while Tali used the sauna and steam room.  We had lunch at the hotel, then sat out at pool side with our books.  I will confess to a bit of a nap as well!  We have packed our bags, and are ready for an early start tomorrow.

This has been a wonderful stay in Nepal, a time of surprising experiences interspersed with rest and relaxation.  The diversity and mixing of Buddhist and Hindu religious beliefs here, in an atmosphere of freedom, has been most refreshing after our experiences in China.

The last few days of our journey take us to Shanghai, a sophisticated and metropolitan city with excellent cuisine!
